DOG TRAINING
-
You and your dog must be in good physical health to participate in Dog Training sessions. If you require dog training services but are not in good physical health , please contact me as an alternative temporary handler could be found.
-
If your dog’s behaviour is a concern, one to one sessions may be recommended. Please contact the trainer prior to booking a course.
-
Handlers must be 12 years and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be at least 8 years of age to attend a group session.
-
Dogs must remain on lead unless agreed with the trainer.
-
Please exercise your dog for 10 minutes prior to beginning each session. This allows for toileting out of the training ground and helps focus the dog’s attention during the session.
-
Please bring waste bags to clear your dogs mess from the field.
-
Please bring appropriate clothing and a waterproof coat. For your safety, no flip flops, garden slip on or high heeled shoes. Wellington boots also provide little support when holding an energetic dog.
-
Please arrive 5 minutes before the class is due to begin. Early arrivals may not be able to park due to previous classes. Late arrivals can wait at the field gate to be accompanied into the field when appropriate.
-
Please park near the field gated entrance. Please do not block other vehicles from exiting the car park. Dogs must remain on lead whilst exiting your vehicle.
-
Please bring your normal dog leads/harness and a selection of dog treats or if preferred a favourite toy. A 8/10 meter comfortable long line is recommended. In cold weather, if your dog is used to a centrally heated home, please bring a suitable dog coat
-
Extendable Dog Leads, Prong, Choke or electric collars are not permissible during the training session.
-
Toilets for you and water for your dog may not be available on site. Please make your own pre arrangements.
-
Mid Suffolk Dog Handlers, the trainers and proprietor do not except financial responsibility or liability for any injury sustained by you or your dog whilst attending our activities.
CANCELLATIONS
-
Please note that the fees are non refundable once the course has begun. If you are unable to attend a session, please send a text message to advise. Each course is prepaid for 5 weeks. If you are unable to attend a session, you may carry it forward to the next week. You will have a total of 8 weeks to utilise your prepaid 5 week booking.
-
One to One Training cancellations must be carried out through email or telephone. Appointments that are cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the appointment will be refunded in full. Cancellations that occur within the final 24 hours of the appointment will be charged at £25.
-
We train in all weathers with the exception of storm, snow and ice where temperature falls below freezing, or winds in excess of 40mph.
-
Training in hot weather will be at the trainers discretion and will depend on training venue, cloud cover, outside temperature and time of day.
-
In the event that the trainer must cancel the session, you will be notified by text message to the number on file no later than 1 hour prior to the session commencement. This is to ensure we can adapt to the weather conditions as they change. Sessions cancelled by the trainer are then carried forward to the following week.
